International Communion of Orthodox Nations — ICON

All Pakts

Introduction

The International Communion of Orthodox Nations (ICON) is a spiritual-political fellowship founded upon the shared legacy of Eastern Orthodoxy.
While it recognizes the diversity of its members' national paths, ICON affirms that the order of heaven must reflect in the order of nations.
Though ICON is not a military bloc, it affirms the right of its members to defend one another in times of spiritual or material aggression. Through mutual advocacy, missionary cooperation, and the defense of holy tradition, ICON seeks to knit together the Orthodox peoples of the Fifth Empire. Participation in ICON is a declaration of fidelity to the Faith.

Application Method

Interested nations should profess active Orthodox identity and demonstrate either missionary commitment, Orthodox governance, or solidarity with other members. Applicants are invited to petition the First Among Equals with a brief statement of interest and a dispatch outlining their nation's Orthodox character.
ICON allows for non-member observer states: a non-member observer state must be a trinitarian-professing Christian within the Fifth Empire, or an Orthodox Christian in a region sharing an embassy with the Fifth Empire.

Advocacies

Members retain full political independence but recognize a shared moral horizon in Orthodox ethics, theology, and order.

Political Advocacies

Members are expected to take action in-line with Orthodox teachings.

History

ICON was founded in the weeks of tension building up to what is known as the Hyperwar. Orthodoxy is fragmented across the Fifth Empire map, Neu Arbuckle, Routcher, and The Greater Imperial Russian Empire recognized the need for a communion based on shared faith.
ICON’s founding date, July 16, 2025, marks the beginning of that communion.
